Ignite Jewish life across North Carolina as the Engagement Associate for NC Hillel Link. We are seeking an engaging, passionate, and adventurous Jewish community builder to innovate a new position on our team. The Engagement Associate will work with the Director of NC Hillel Link to co-create and implement an engagement and community-building strategy for each of the six campuses within Link (App State, East Carolina, UNC Asheville, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington). This is a full-time position with room for growth and the option for a flexible summer.
Please note: This is a 40-hour-a-week position with a flexible schedule. The Engagement Associate will work an average of 2-3 evenings per week during the school year and some weekends as well. This position requires day and overnight travel across North Carolina. While this position can be based anywhere in Western North Carolina, preference will be given to candidates local to or willing to relocate to Charlotte or Greensboro. This position will require regular visits to NC Hillel campuses in Asheville, Boone, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, and Wilmington.
The Engagement Associate will be supervised by the Director of NC Hillel Link and begin work in July of 2024.
North Carolina Hillel serves students across the University of North Carolina System with staff strategically located across the state. Jewish students of all backgrounds come to NC Hillel to make friends in a warm, accepting environment and to explore what being Jewish means to them. For some students, it’s the first time they have a Jewish role model. For others, it’s the first time they’re exploring their Judaism on their own terms. Hillel @ NC State, UNC Chapel Hill Hillel, and NC Hillel Link (a consortium of campuses with Jewish populations between 100-300 students…and growing!) allow us to serve our students dynamically from the coast to the mountains.
We empower and inspire students to pursue their own Jewish journeys by creating strong communities and transformative experiences.
North Carolina Hillel is affiliated with Hillel International. Hillel International enriches the lives of Jewish students so they may enrich the Jewish people and the world, and envisions a world where every student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel.
About Hillel International
