American Friends of Sar-El – College Internship

American Friends of Sar-El is seeking a creative and detail-oriented college student to support our digital communications efforts. This role is focused on telling the story of our work through social media and helping drive engagement to our website and programs.The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who understands how to translate mission-driven work into compelling, engaging content for a student and young adult audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and post content across AFOSE’s social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn
• Create engaging written and visual content that highlights AFOSE’s mission and impact
• Translate program experiences, testimonials, and updates into compelling social posts
• Help maintain a consistent voice and tone across digital channels
• Track basic engagement metrics such as likes, shares, and clicks to understand what content
  performs well
• Support website engagement by aligning social media content with key campaigns and
  messaging

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Social media savvy, with an understanding of how to create engaging content
• Excellent writing ability with attention to tone, clarity, and storytelling
• Creative, proactive, and able to work independently
• Interest in communications, marketing, or nonprofit work
• Passion for Israel and alignment with AFOSE’s mission

Preferred but not required

• Experience managing social media accounts, whether personal, for campus organizations, or
  internships
• Familiarity with basic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express
• Basic understanding of social media analytics
