  • Location: Remote (must be based in the New York City metropolitan area)

Overview

The Tri-State Regional Director is ICC’s primary field representative responsible for building relationships with students, campus professionals, and pro-Israel activists across the Tri-State region (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). This role is equal parts relationship builder, recruiter, and organizing strategist. The Tri-State Regional Director drives recruitment for ICC’s flagship programs, the National Leadership Summit (NLS) and the Geller International Fellowship, while executing grassroots mobilization campaigns and providing strategic support to defeat anti-Israel initiatives on campus.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Functions

Grassroots Mobilization & Strategy

  • Execute sophisticated grassroots mobilization to counter anti-Israel initiatives on campus.
  • Apply campaign best practices to assist students and campus professionals in advancing pro-Israel initiatives at the student government, university administration, and board of trustees levels.
  • Ensure effective coordination and collaboration among national pro-Israel organizations operating in the region.
  • Share insights and trends from campus stakeholders to enhance ICC’s understanding of the broader Israel campus landscape.

Program Recruitment

  • Actively recruit student leaders across the Tri-State region for ICC’s flagship programs, including the National Leadership Summit and the Geller International Fellowship.
  • Develop creative, campus-specific recruitment strategies to engage students who may not yet be connected to the pro-Israel community.
  • Track recruitment progress against benchmarks in Salesforce.

Relationship Building & Campus Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with pro-Israel student leaders and campus professionals, including Hillel, Chabad, and partner organization field staff.
  • Identify and develop student leaders on campuses throughout the region, connecting them to ICC’s programs and the broader national network of pro-Israel organizations and resources.
  • Conduct strategic consultations and troubleshoot issues with student leaders and campus professionals.
  • Facilitate support and training for pro-Israel campus activists and supporters.
  • Manage and allocate ICC’s microgrant pool to support pro-Israel programming by students and campus professionals across the region.
  • Maintain accurate records of campus engagements, contacts, and program participation in Salesforce.

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Practical knowledge of effective approaches to political strategy and grassroots activism (experience working on a political campaign or in community organizing preferred)
  • A creative, entrepreneurial, and open-minded temperament
  • Experience with campus advocacy (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Israel and the Jewish community
  • Strong track record in recruitment, outreach, or enrollment-driven roles (preferred)
  • Previous peer-advising experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) is a plus. ICC values team members who leverage technology to work smarter and maximize impact.
