Tamim Academy of Miami is seeking a dedicated, organized, and inspiring Jewish Studies Coordinator for Kindergarten through Grade 5. The Coordinator will oversee the Jewish Studies curriculum, support and coach teachers, ensure alignment with Tamim educational philosophy, and help cultivate a joyful, meaningful Jewish learning environment for our youngest students.
This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about Jewish education, child-centered learning, collaboration, and building strong relationships with teachers, students, and families.
Oversee and support the implementation of the Jewish Studies curriculum for K–4, including Chumash foundations, Hebrew, Parsha, Chagim, Jewish values (middot), tefillah, and Jewish life skills
Ensure vertical alignment and age-appropriate progression across grade levels
Support lesson planning to ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement
Work with teachers to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners
Mentor and coach Jewish Studies teachers through classroom observations, feedback, and collaborative planning
Support new teachers with onboarding, curriculum guidance, and classroom routines
Model effective instructional strategies and best practices in Jewish education
Foster a culture of reflection, growth, and collaboration
Support Kriah assessment practices aligned with Tamim expectations
Monitor student progress and help teachers adjust instruction as needed
Collaborate with administration and support staff regarding student needs
Help plan and oversee chagim celebrations, school-wide Jewish programming, and grade-level activities
Ensure a warm, joyful, and values-driven Jewish atmosphere throughout the elementary division
Support tefillah programming and routines appropriate for K–5 students
Work closely with General Studies leadership to ensure alignment and integration where appropriate
Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents when needed, in collaboration with administration
Participate in leadership meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
Bachelor’s degree required, in Jewish Education or related field preferred
Strong background in Jewish Studies and Hebrew (reading and conversational Hebrew required)
Experience teaching Jewish Studies in elementary grades (K–5 strongly preferred)
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or instructional leadership is a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
