Communications & National Programs Manager (Full-Time)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Reports to: Executive Director
For over 100 years, NA’AMAT USA has connected American women to a shared mission of advancing the lives of women, children, and families in Israel. Through education, advocacy, community engagement, and philanthropy, we strengthen a century-old movement of Zionist feminism in action.
We are seeking a highly organized, digitally fluent Communications & National Programs Manager to lead our communications calendar and oversee our national program portfolio. This role shapes how NA’AMAT USA shows up to members, donors, and the broader community through clear messaging, engaging programs, and smooth cross-team coordination.
Position Overview
The Communications & National Programs Manager develops and executes NA’AMAT USA’s communications calendar while managing national virtual programs and occasional in-person initiatives. You will coordinate messaging, manage content and timelines, steward program partners, and ensure our communications and programs work together to drive engagement, membership, and fundraising.
This role is ideal for a strong communicator who loves project management, thrives on organizing complex workflows, and understands how storytelling and programs strengthen community.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy & Execution (40%)
- Develop and manage the monthly communications calendar (email, social, program promotions).
- Draft email content, newsletters, and program announcements.
- Oversee social scheduling.
- Manage website updates with digital vendors.
- Review analytics and adjust strategy monthly.
- Ensure messaging is aligned across organizational priorities.
National Program Management (40%)
- Build the annual program calendar with the ED and Program Committee.
- Secure and steward speakers, partners, and collaborators.
- Oversee program logistics.
- Drive attendance through coordinated communications.
- Track attendance, satisfaction, and follow-up actions.
- Integrate engagement and fundraising opportunities.
- Coordinate on post-event outreach.
Cross-Team Coordination (15%)
- Coordinate communications and program support for leadership development initiatives so they are clearly promoted, scheduled appropriately, and aligned with the broader organizational calendar.
- Ensure communications and program materials reflect fundraising priorities.
- Incorporate insights from Member & Donor Care Manager into planning and messaging.
- Provide direction to the Program & Communications Assistant on scheduling and priorities.
Vendor & Contractor Management (5%)
- Collaborate with fractional marketing partners, digital contractors, and web support.
- Maintain updated asset libraries, templates, and brand-standard materials.

What You Bring
- Ability to run a coordinated communications calendar
- Strong writing, editing, and content packaging skills
- Experience producing or managing virtual programs (Zoom, registration, follow-up)
- Comfort with digital vendors, newsletter systems, and social scheduling tools
- Ability to interpret engagement metrics and adjust strategy
- Solid project management and follow-through
- Ability to direct junior staff or assistants
- Professional maturity, discretion, and good judgment
Preferred Qualifications & Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in nonprofit communications, program management, or similar work
- Demonstrated experience writing email content, newsletters, or social media materials
- Experience hosting or facilitating virtual programs
- Familiarity with analytics, email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp/Constant Contact), and social tools
- Experience in a Jewish, Israel-focused, or women-centered organization (strong plus)
- Comfort working remotely with distributed teams and contractors
- Alignment with mission and interest in movement-building storytelling
