Description

Lead camp-wide leadership development as Rosh Manhigut (Leadership Initiatives). You'll coordinate our Gesher program for rising 12th-grade counselors, develop leadership programming for staff and campers across all age groups, and serve on the camp Leadership Team. This role offers the opportunity to shape leadership culture throughout Camp Judaea: from mentoring first-year counselors to designing educational experiences for our oldest campers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Gesher Program Coordinator

  • Design and facilitate peulot (educational activities) during staff training
  • Provide ongoing supervision, support, and personalized mentorship to cohort members, partnering with Merakzim (unit heads) and Specialty Heads to deliver constructive feedback
  • Run two educational peulot and one social peulah weekly for the cohort
  • Maintain weekly one-on-one engagement with all cohort participants

Atid & Chalutzim (Teen Programs) Support

  • Facilitate 2-4 leadership peulot for Chalutzim with the Chalutzim Merakezet
  • Provide programming coverage for Atid Merakezet to support day-to-day program delivery

Staff Leadership Development

  • Design and facilitate staff training peulot focused on leadership
  • Offer 2-3 optional staff leadership peulot per session during evening or Chofesh (free time)

Camper Programming

  • Collaborate with Merakzim, Specialty Heads, and program team to integrate leadership development into edot (age group) and activity area programming
  • Facilitate Peulah Manhigut (leadership activities) 1-2 times per session for Kesher and Bogrim age groups

Additional Responsibilities

  • Serve on the camp Leadership Team, contributing to daily operations and camp-wide programs, activities, and meals
  • Oversee training, development, and mentorship for summer internship and fellowship program participants
