  1. Faculty Leadership & Supervision
  • Thought Partner: Serve as the primary thought partner and supervisor for Department Chairs, moving beyond "logistics" to facilitate deep conversations about vertical alignment, innovative assessment, and interdisciplinary opportunities.
  • Faculty/Admin Liaison and supervisor of Learning Center
  • Professional Growth: Conduct formal teacher and chair observations with GS departments and write-ups; supervise and mentor a Grade Dean through regular check-ins. Use these touchpoints to align classroom instruction with long-term educational goals, providing feedback that fosters a culture of reflective practice.
  • Prepare all of the observation forms for chairs and administrators and review completed forms
  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Department Chairs for both logistics, supervisory consultations and curricular conversations; collect semester grading sheets and teacher evaluations.
  • Administrative Thought Partnership: Acting as a strategic partner on the administration team in all aspects of school culture and life. Attending events and shabbatonim, serving as student advisor as part of the administrative team. 
  • Teaching Responsibilities: One course of classroom teaching. 
  • Oversees Grade Deans.
  1. Academic Operations
  • Academic Monitoring:Track students with "F" grades or Incompletes, helping them create and execute makeup plans. 
  • Compiling all summer assignments into one site for students to access all of their summer work.
  • Schedule Coordination: Partner with leadership to build and refine teacher and student schedules, including the complexities of elective "mini-courses" and senior programming.
  • Elective program: Working with the scheduling team to introduce electives to rising juniors and seniors, having students apply, compiling the data and reviewing with department chairs and administrators before informing students of their placement. 
  • Calendar Management: Own the Test, Flex, and Special Schedules; manage the "Week at a Glance" to ensure all events, locations, and setups are synced.
  • Testing Oversight: Manage proctoring assignments with an eye for equity; coordinate makeup exams for students on trips or involved in school productions.
  • Work with the faculty member assigned to midterms and finals to prepare for and execute both exam periods. 
  • Room & Resource Logistics: Assign rooms for flex periods, advisories, and clinics; ensure the library and after-school clinics are fully staffed and scheduled.
  • Partnership with the business office, assisting with select annual grant applications
  1. Communication & Administration
  • Reporting: Write and distribute quarterly instructions for grades and anecdotals; review a portion of all report cards for quality assurance. Draft parent communications and coordinate with administrative staff for school-wide distribution.
  • Planning: Lead the planning for Simulated School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC), and Student-Teacher Conferences (STC), Lead orientation for new faculty (Schoology, calendars, etc.).
  • Attend and participate in all relevant meetings: Department chair, US Admin team, Grade dean, Scheduling, Senior Team, GS Department meetings, etc. 

Qualifications: Masters Level Degree in Education or related field. 

Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000, Commensurate with experience
