Hebrew School Education Team Member – Grades 7–8 Program

Location: Temple Beth Sholom, Hamden, CT.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic educator to join our team and help lead a reimagined program for 7th and 8th graders.  This is a unique opportunity. We are rebuilding this program from the ground up, which means the right person will have significant creative input and room to shape something meaningful.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading Sunday morning sessions for grades 7–8
• Creating a program that balances social connection and Jewish education
• Building a space where teens feel heard, engaged, and empowered to lead
• Being an active and integrated member of the school's overall teaching staff

Schedule: Sundays, September through May, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Compensation: Hourly compensation

Location: Temple Beth Sholom, 1809 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with adolescents and genuinely connects with this age group
• Has a background in education or youth programming
• Is creative, flexible, and excited to build something new
• Is a collaborative team player.
• Hebrew is an advantage.
