About MARJCC ECA:
With over 40 years of service to our community, at the MARJCC ECA, children are at the center of education, playing an active role in their learning experiences. Serving children from 2 months old to kindergarten, we offer an inclusive environment, working with over 110 families from 17 countries. Our families speak English, French, Hebrew, Spanish, and Russian. We believe that children’s learning leads to play and play leads to learning. Through social interactions, children construct their image of the world around them.

Job Summary:
The Early Childhood Partner Teacher for our Infant Class will provide a warm, loving, and child-centered environment grounded in Jewish values. We are looking for a nurturing and patient educator who has a genuine passion and experience working with babies (starting at 2 months old). As a teacher, you will act as a partner and guide for our youngest learners, fostering their physical, social-emotional, and cognitive growth. This role requires a hard-working, flexible professional who can adapt to the unique and ever-changing needs of infants while building a strong sense of community and belonging for their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with your co-teacher to lead the classroom. We believe in a team-based approach where both teachers share responsibility for care, planning, and the well-being of the children.
  • Nurturing Care: Create a warm and loving environment where infants feel safe. Provide consistent, responsive care including rocking, soothing, and engaging with babies at their level.
  • Individualized Development: Jointly plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities (sensory play, tummy time, music) that promote physical and social-emotional growth.
  • Daily Care Routines: Partner in managing essential daily needs, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining individualized nap schedules with the highest standards of safety.
  • Jewish Values: Foster a sense of community by modeling and teaching Jewish values. Embrace Jewish holidays through gentle invitations to play, music, and art.
  • Documentation: Collaborate on documenting children’s learning processes. We use this to value their growth and plan for their needs using their interests as an engine for motivation.
  • Family Connection: Build trusting relationships with families. Communicate regularly about their child’s progress, ensuring parents feel like a vital part of the classroom.
