Founded in 2009 as an annual tour through New York City to honor wounded IDF soldiers, Belev Echad has evolved into a globally recognized nonprofit dedicated to restoring the lives of these brave heroes. Through emotional, mental, medical, legal, and financial support, we provide life-saving resources to wounded veterans—services they often can’t access on their own. These heroes fought for Israel. Now, we fight for them. Our programs empower soldiers and their families to heal, reintegrate, and thrive. Whether it’s mental health treatment, physical rehabilitation, or vocational reintegration, we walk alongside our soldiers every step of the way—ensuring they are supported, uplifted, and never alone.

Position Overview

The Grants & Development Associate plays a key role in securing philanthropic support for Belev Echad. This position focuses primarily on researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations and charitable institutions. In addition, the role supports broader development operations, including donor stewardship, database management, communications, and event support.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for Belev Echad’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Writing & Foundation Relations

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and philanthropic institutions.
  
  
• Prepare high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation.
  
  
• Manage the full grant cycle: deadlines, submissions, grant agreements, reporting, and renewals.
  
  
• Maintain a grant calendar to ensure timely submissions and reporting.
  
  
• Track grant-related metrics, outcomes, and program data in collaboration with program staff.
  
  
• Build and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and grant managers.
  
  
• Ensure all proposals are aligned with organizational goals, budgets, and branding.
  
  

Development & Fundraising Support 

Support donor stewardship through timely acknowledgments, updates, and communications.

• Assist with donor database entry, gift processing, and recordkeeping (e.g., CRM).
  
  
• Contribute to fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, and digital communications.
  
  
• Aid in the coordination of special events, delegations, and donor engagement activities.
  
  
• Support preparation of reports, presentations, and development-related materials.
  
  
• Collaborate with the development team to identify new fundraising strategies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  
  
• 2+ years of experience in grant writing, development, or nonprofit fundraising.
  
  
• Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
  
  
• Strong project management and time-management abilities.
  
  
• Ability to synthesize information and present it clearly and compellingly.
  
  
• Familiarity with nonprofit budgets and basic financial documentation.
  
  
• Passion for Belev Echad’s mission and values.
