Who We Are: 

For over a century, Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ) has served as the backbone of the Conservative/Masorti movement. Founded in 1918, we have evolved from a pioneering organization into a global powerhouse dedicated to engaging, enriching, and empowering Jewish women. Today, we connect tens of thousands of members across hundreds of Sisterhood Affiliates in North America and Israel.

About the Torah Fund Campaign of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism: 

The Torah Fund Campaign is WLCJ’s philanthropic grassroots campaign, raising more than $112 million over the last eight decades to benefit the institutions of higher learning of the Conservative/Masorti movement worldwide. 

Overview:

Reporting to the WLCJ Executive Director, the Torah Fund Manager will manage the Torah Fund Campaign of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism from WLCJ’s Manhattan office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with WLCJ Torah Fund leadership and volunteers who run the campaign through Sisterhood Affiliates in synagogues throughout the U.S. and Canada.
• Oversees processing of all gifts.
• Responds to donor and volunteer queries and assists with development of donors. 
• Works with assigned staff to write and produce marketing and training materials. 
• Develops forms, maintains the online platform, and organizes Torah Fund materials.
• Works closely with vendors regarding the production of Torah Fund pins and materials.
• Ensures proper and timely distribution of Torah Fund pins annually.
• Prepares Torah Fund budget and presents to the WLCJ Budget Chair.
• Proactively works with lay leadership to generate and develop new project ideas.
• Attends and prepares reports for WLCJ Board of Directors meetings, monthly Torah Fund Steering Committee meetings, Torah Fund Cabinet meetings, and monthly evening meetings with Region Torah Fund Vice Presidents. 
• Acts as the liaison between WLCJ and the Conservative/Masorti institutions of higher learning.
• Obtains student speakers for Torah Fund events in support of Region and Sisterhood Affiliate programs.
• Oversees the Torah Fund Legacy Society planned giving program.
• Works with volunteers to produce Torah Fund e-newsletter (Chadashot).  
• Obtains speakers for and arranges organization-wide Torah Fund programming.
• Assists with the move from the Jewish Theological Seminary office (same building as WLCJ office).
• Attends WLCJ Triennial International Convention.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

 Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.  
• Experience in marketing and development preferred.  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media. Graphic design and database skills are a plus.
• Ability to work with volunteers and donors in a non-profit setting at every level of giving.
• A team player with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Knowledge of Conservative/Masorti movement is a plus.
• Experience, willingness, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with many moving parts.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Salary: $80,000–$85,000.
