Marketing & Digital Communications Assistant (Entry-Level)

The Marketing & Digital Communications Assistant works closely with Marketing Department team to support day-to-day marketing operations, digital communications, and content creation. This is an ideal role for a recent college graduate with a marketing or communications degree who is eager to learn, grow professionally, and build hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, design, and digital media.

B’nai Torah Congregation is one of the largest Conservative congregations in Florida, located in Boca Raton.  We have a robust staff of talented and committed individuals who support our world-class clergy team to serve a 1,300 household membership. Our Early Childhood Center and thriving Religious School provide high quality Jewish education to hundreds of students every week. Our unparalleled Shabbat services are known internationally and more than 2,000 people join us in person for our High Holy Days services every year.

Responsibilities

Website & Digital Content

  • Assist with maintaining and updating website content using WordPress.
  • Upload events, update pages, manage images, and help ensure online content is accurate and current.
  • Learn and apply basic SEO practices and support site organization.

Email Communications

  • Support the preparation, formatting, and scheduling of weekly newsletters and event emails.
  • Proofread content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Help ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and tone across communications.

Social Media

  • Create and schedule social media posts across platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram).
  • Assist with maintaining a social media content calendar and monitoring engagement.
  • Capture photos and short videos at events when needed and help organize media assets.

Design & Branding

  • Use brand templates to update digital and print materials in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop or Adobe Express).
  • Prepare simple graphics for web, email, social media, and print.
  • Support brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Assist with light design work and learn best practices for layout and visual communication.

Administrative & Project Support

  • Support the Marketing team during holidays, events, and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with staff and program leaders to gather information for marketing requests.
  • Help organize digital files, shared drives, and asset libraries.
  • Track deadlines and assist with project workflow and scheduling.

Technical & Systems Support

  • Work comfortably in a Windows-based environment.
  • Learn and use internal systems for event listings, registrations, and communications.
  • Provide general support with digital tools and platforms as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Basic experience with WordPress or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Foundational design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, or Adobe Express).
  • Some experience creating social media content (internships, campus work, or personal projects welcome).
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Interest in nonprofit or community-based work is a plus, but not required.

This role is well-suited for someone early in their career who is excited to gain hands-on experience in marketing, design, and digital communications while working closely with an experienced marketing leader in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
