Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the senior non-academic leader of Torah Academy www.torahacademy.us  and a key partner in advancing the school’s mission. The CEO provides strategic leadership, ensures organizational sustainability, and oversees all administrative, operational, and development functions—either performing them directly or managing staff and partners to execute them. The Chief Executive Officer serves not only as a school leader, but as a driving force behind the vibrancy of Boston’s Torah community, guiding partnerships and impact that extend far beyond the walls of the school.

Working closely with the Board of Directors, principals, staff, parents, donors, and community stakeholders, the CEO helps shape the school’s long-term direction while strengthening its role as a cornerstone of Torah education in Greater Boston.

Leadership & Governance

  • Serve as the Chief Executive Officer, reporting to the Board of
  • Collaborate with the Board on mission, long-term strategy, and institutional
  • Provide clear, consistent communication and support effective governance
  • Ensure leadership and administrative functions are either completed directly or effectively

Fundraising & Development

  • Lead all development initiatives including annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, and
  • Build and maintain strong donor relationships and broaden the base of
  • Oversee stewardship, recognition, and fundraising
  • Manage development functions personally or through staff/consultants.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the annual budget with the finance
  • Oversee cash flow, payroll, financial reporting, and
  • Ensure audits, tax filings, and compliance with regulatory
  • Manage financial operations directly or supervise staff/consultants.

Operations & Administration

  • Direct daily operations including facilities, maintenance, and vendor
  • Supervise administrative staff and ensure strong internal
  • Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations, including EEC
  • Execute operational tasks personally or through managed personnel/consultants.

Educational Partnership

  • Collaborate with Principals to align resources with academic
  • Support program evaluation and implementation of new

Community & Public Relations

  • Represent Torah Academy to parents, donors, alumni, and community
  • Build relationships with Jewish organizations, civic leaders, and government
  • Oversee stakeholder communications personally or through

Human Resources

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and
  • Support retention, professional development, and a positive work
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and personnel

Strategic Growth & Vision

  • Lead long-term planning for enrollment, program expansion, and financial
  • Oversee capital projects, campus development, and facilities
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and mission-aligned

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in a Yeshiva, or a nonprofit organization, including at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Fundraising experience, required
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to identify challenges, design solutions, and implement operational changes.
  • Financial Acumen
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to complete responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner, often with strong and/or conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and foster connections
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Diplomacy, confidentiality and superb customer relationship management skills

 

Salary175,000.00 - 200,000.00 Annual
