Our Temple is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Development Associate & CRM Administrator to support the synagogue’s fundraising, donor engagement, and data management efforts.
This role is primarily focused on development operations and CRM management (ShulCloud), with secondary responsibility for front desk and administrative support.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with data, supporting fundraising initiatives, and improving systems and processes, while also serving as a welcoming presence to congregants and visitors.
The Development Associate & CRM Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Temple's fundraising efforts, donor tracking, and database management.
Approximately:
60–70% Development & CRM (ShulCloud)
30–40% Reception & Administrative Support
Manage and maintain donor records in ShulCloud CRM
Process and track donations, pledges, and payments
Generate donor acknowledgment letters and reports
Support the Director of Development with:
Campaign tracking
Donor outreach coordination
Prospect and donor research
Assist in preparation of fundraising materials and proposals
Maintain accurate records for Annual Campaign and leadership giving
Track and report on fundraising progress and metrics
Serve as primary administrator for ShulCloud database
Maintain accurate member and donor profiles
Run reports for development, finance, and leadership
Support event registrations and data tracking
Help improve data integrity and system usage across departments
Serve as the front desk point of contact for congregants and visitors
Answer phones and respond to general inquiries
Manage incoming mail and basic office operations
Assist with administrative tasks and general office support, particularly for the clergy of the Temple
2–4+ years experience in:
Development/fundraising support, or
CRM/database management, or
Administrative roles with strong data responsibility
Experience with CRM systems (ShulCloud strongly preferred)
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Professional, welcoming demeanor
Experience in nonprofit or synagogue environment
Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising processes
Experience supporting campaigns or development teams
$50,000 – $65,000, depending on experience
This position is critical to ensuring that the Temple can:
Effectively manage and grow its fundraising efforts
Maintain strong relationships with donors and members
Operate with accurate, reliable data across the organization
