Description

Abrams Hebrew Academy in Yardley, Pennsylvania, is an independent, co-educational Community Hebrew Day School that embraces Jewish families from all backgrounds. Abrams provides its students with a healthy and supportive environment that fosters scholarship and intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and a commitment to Judaism and to the State of Israel.

The educational mission of Abrams Hebrew Academy is to encourage and challenge the students to develop and embrace disciplined and creative life-long learning practices, thereby instilling pride and understanding of both their Jewish and American heritage while providing them the impetus to become future leaders and active citizens in their communities.

Abrams is an N-8 program with just under 200 students. There is a full secular and Judaic curriculum as well as core specials. The highlight for every student at Abrams is the 8th-grade trip to Israel. There are extracurricular clubs and sports, including soccer and basketball. Two new additions this year include an Athletic Complex to broaden the appeal of the school and unite the community around sports, and the Learning Center to enhance support and expand learning opportunities, since every child matters and every child deserves a place to thrive.

The school has a head of school and two principals, one for secular studies and one for Judaic studies. The principals oversee the teachers and curriculum in their field of study.

The school draws from a wide range of communities throughout the greater Philadelphia area and parts of New Jersey.

What makes Abrams unique is….

  • Geography- we draw from a wide geographic area

  • Long tenure of our Head of School, principals, teachers, staff and board members, some for more than thirty years
