Development & Donor Database Assistant (Part-Time)

The Development & Donor Database Assistant works closely with the Development and Administrative team to support fundraising operations, donor data management, and event coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and organization, and who has experience managing CRM databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools that support fundraising and donor engagement.

The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate donor records, supporting fundraising initiatives, and ensuring that donor communications and events run smoothly.

B’nai Torah Congregation is one of the largest Conservative congregations in Florida, located in Boca Raton.  We have a robust staff of talented and committed individuals who support our world-class clergy team to serve a 1,300 household membership. Our Early Childhood Center and thriving Religious School provide high quality Jewish education to hundreds of students every week. Our unparalleled Shabbat services are known internationally and more than 2,000 people join us in person for our High Holy Days services every year.

Responsibilities

Donor Database & CRM Management
• Maintain and update donor records in the congregation’s fundraising CRM system.

  • Ensure donor information, gifts, pledges, and event participation are accurately recorded.
  • Generate donor reports, giving summaries, and mailing lists using CRM and Excel tools.
  • Assist with database cleanup, record verification, and ongoing data integrity.
  • Support donor segmentation and reporting used for campaigns, appeals, and stewardship.

 

Data & Reporting

  • Use Excel and CRM reporting tools to prepare fundraising reports and donor analytics.
  • Track campaign results, giving trends, and event participation.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports for development leadership and fundraising committees.
  • Assist with integrating CRM data with other systems as needed.

 

Fundraising & Event Support

  • Assist with the coordination and administrative preparation for fundraising events.
  • Support registration lists, sponsorship tracking, and guest management.
  • Help manage donor acknowledgments and post-event follow-up communications.
  • Assist with preparing materials related to fundraising campaigns and donor outreach.

 

Administrative & Development Support

  • Schedule donor communications and stewardship touchpoints based on information from the fundraising database.
  • Coordinate with staff and departments to support fundraising initiatives.
  • Help organize development files, donor lists, and reporting documents.
  • Perform other administrative tasks that support fundraising and development operations.

Technical & Systems Skills

  • Work comfortably within CRM platforms and donor databases.
  • Manage data using Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet tools, including sorting, reporting, and tracking.
  • Support integration between CRM systems, spreadsheets, and communications tools.
  • Maintain organized digital files and reports for development operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, Data Management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or donor databases (DonorPerfect, Bloomerang, Neon CRM, or similar platforms preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with staff, volunteers, and donors.
  • Experience supporting fundraising activities or nonprofit development work is a plus.
  • Flexibility to occasionally assist with evening or weekend events.
