The One School at Temple Beth Am has a Teacher and a Teacher's Assistant opportunities in our Early Childhood Toddler and Preschool Age Programs.

EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER REQUIREMENTS:
The One School requires teachers to have earned a CDA (Child Development Associate) certification and staff credential at minimum; prefer a two or four year degree in Early Childhood Education and at least two years experience in Early Childhood Education. At a minimum, candidate must have completed the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45-hour introductory child care training course and certification.

TEACHER'S ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:
The One School requires teacher's assistants to have earned, or currently be working toward receiving, a CDA and staff credential. Prefer two years experience in Early Childhood Education. 


The primary responsibility of the Teacher is to plan and provide a developmentally appropriate preschool program, by developing and implementing innovative and purposeful lessons that will meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children enrolled in the class.

The primary responsibility of the Teacher's Assistant is to support the Lead Teacher in the classroom, through co-planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities, as well as ensuring the consistent well-being and safety of the children in his/her care.

Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia philosophy is a plus.

Both Teacher and Teacher's Assistant must possess excellent communication skills when dealing with children, parents and co-workers, and are required to adhere to the policies and standard operating procedures of the school and licensing authorities.
