Dynamic Lead & Assistant Teachers Wanted – Join Our Growing Early Childhood Team!

Our warm, welcoming Conservative synagogue preschool in Livingston, NJ is growing, and we're looking for passionate Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our exceptional team of early childhood educators.

Our school is a place where curiosity is celebrated, relationships come first, and children are encouraged to explore, discover, create, and grow. We believe every child deserves to be seen, valued, and supported as an individual, and we are looking for educators who share that philosophy.

Our program begins with our Infant Program at 12 weeks of age and continues through our Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms, providing children with a nurturing foundation during their most important years of development.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking educators who:

* Meet children where they are and thoughtfully scaffold learning to help each child reach their fullest potential.

* Believe that play is meaningful work and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves for sensory play, process art, outdoor exploration, and hands-on discovery.

* Foster warm, responsive relationships that help children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.

* Have a genuine love for young children and feel honored to be part of their earliest learning experiences.

* Value collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and lifelong learning.

* Bring energy, positivity, and a nurturing spirit to the classroom every day.

Responsibilities

Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to:

* Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that inspire curiosity and joyful exploration.

* Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development through play-based learning.

* Observe children's growth and collaborate with colleagues and the Director to support each child's individual development.

* Build strong, trusting partnerships with families through ongoing communication.

* Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

* Contribute to a collaborative school culture that values teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an early childhood setting (preferred).

* A warm, nurturing, and patient approach to working with young children.

* Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.

* Basic familiarity with Jewish customs, traditions, and holidays.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Excellent professional references.

If you're passionate about early childhood education, believe in learning through play, love getting messy alongside children, and want to make a meaningful impact during the earliest years of life, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and professional references to apply.
