Mercaz Learning Center Director

Growing Conservative Congregation in Morris Plains, NJ (Parsippany) is seeking a caring and patient individual to serve as Director of our Special Education Learning Center (Mercaz). Candidate should have experience teaching Hebrew decoding and prayer fluency to students (Grades 3-7) with a variety of learning challenges such as ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Language Processing, etc...  This position involves  pull out /  one on one lessons in person on  Sundays (3 hours) and up to 5 hours remote/in person teaching during the week. 

Candidate should demonstrate familiarity with Friday night and Shabbat morning prayer melodies as sung in Conservative Congregations. Familiarity with the Eyal app and PhD reading curriculum will be helpful. 

The weekday hours will require scheduling flexiblity to meet the needs of our families.

Competitive hourly salary. Sunday hours: 9:30-12:30, weekday hours are flexible.
