Description

Eden Village Camp is looking for passionate educators to bring our specialty programs to life this summer. As a specialist, you would play a fundamental role in helping campers nurture connections with themselves, the community, and the Earth through your programming. We are hiring for the following specialty areas:

  • Farm: Teach campers about organic farming, help foster our community’s connection to the land, and care for our three acres of farmland.
  • Culinary Arts: Inspire creativity in the kitchen as you teach campers farm-to-table cooking skills utilizing the abundance of our farm.
  • Herbalism: Empower campers to draw on the ancient wisdom of plant medicine by making teas, salves, soaps, tinctures, and more.
  • Wilderness Survival: Immerse campers in deep connection with nature through teaching fire and shelter building, whittling, plant identification, bowdrill, and more.
  • Music: At Eden Village, we don’t listen to any recorded music- we make it all ourselves! You’ll teach campers new instruments, how to write songs, form bands, and perform for each other.
  • Art: Our art program is grounded in using natural materials to create beautiful and functional crafts like pottery, felting, candlemaking, and sewing that our campers can use in their everyday lives.
  • Woodshop: Guide campers through hands-on woodworking projects as you create an environment of safety and creative empowerment.
  • Ropes, Archery, and Sports: Create a safe and fun environment for campers to challenge themselves and build teamwork skills through climbing, belaying, archery, and sports.

Eden Village Camp is a non-profit overnight camp rooted in the Jewish vision of creating a more environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually connected world. All staff at Eden Village, regardless of their job, should expect to support the running of camp in a variety of ways that are not outlined here. As a community working collectively to keep 200 children safe and happy, each summer is full of unexpected blessings and challenges. We rely on our staff member’s flexibility to meet those challenges.

  • You’ll enjoy three kosher, organic, locally sourced meals a day.

  • You get to hang out with goats!
  • We have staff fun activities in the evenings and staff-only swim a few times a week.
  • You’ll inspire kids to be more playful, kind, caring, joyful, and grateful - changing their lives and changing the world!
