Description

CBHT is a diverse, inclusive growing congregation of over 300 families and a budget of right at about $1M. We have an amazingly active group of committees and auxiliaries and consequently have an ongoing packed calendar full of educational, community-building, and religious events. We also have a dynamic and growing Sunday/religious school with over 200 students. Our Rabbi is a dynamic, warm, and engaging spiritual leader who has been with us for 18 years and has a "lifetime" contract. Our Erev Cantor will be ordained next May, and he is also our Religious School Director. Our lay leaders, clergy, and staff enjoy a warm and collaborative partnership.

Asheville is set in the glorious Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC. The three-county metropolitan area boasts a population of about 500K people. There are several colleges and universities in the metro area, and the city schools boast a strong regional performance in graduation rates compared to statewide averages. Asheville is also famous for its vibrant arts community, stunning mountain scenery, and its "independent spirit."

If you have previous experience directing/leading staff in a non-profit organization, general big-picture financial knowledge, and understanding of GL, this could be your opportunity to help a thriving congregation continue its exciting growth trajectory. You will work in an engaging and extremely inclusive community with very supportive clergy and lay leadership.
