The Conference of Presidents advocates on behalf of the Jewish community around the world and is a key point of contact for communal, national and world leaders.

The Conference of Presidents seeks a Fundraising & Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to develop programs encouraging broad American Jewish community support for Zionism and Israel, and to work closely with the leadership of US Jewish Zionist organizations.

This position requires excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills and the ability to research and synthesize information, to write and edit quickly and concisely. We seek candidates with political acumen and deep familiarity with US-Israel relations, outstanding professionalism, independent judgment, and discretion who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.  We seek someone who can deftly multi-task and work simultaneously on a variety of projects.  This position offers a great opportunity to interact with Jewish communal leaders representing diverse constituencies, and to deepen one’s understanding of Middle East issues and vital Jewish communal concerns.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities - include, but are not limited to:

Meetings & Programs

  • Develop and implement internal and public programs - both in-person and online (webinars, seminars, conferences and events).
  • Conceptualize and coordinate logistics for internal and external
  • Organize board and committee meetings (in-person and online).
  • Manage all meeting-related logistics and follow up including onsite audio-visual equipment, room set-up, security procedures, handouts, speaker arrangements, and staff assignments
  • Provide administrative support for daily office management

Communications:

  • Draft, format and disseminate communications, including - social media content, periodic newsletters, internal and external email blasts
  • Responsible for creating and disseminating regular communications to our member organizations
  • Coordinates, writes and edits website content, posts current organizational activities, statements and relevant articles of interest
  • Develops integrated voice for organization’s online presence including website, Facebook, Twitter and other relevant digital media
  • Creates and manages organizations social media communications
  • Monitors progress using web analytic tools
  • Works with web designers to optimize and maintain website functionality, style and appearance
  • Regularly monitors and synthesizes relevant breaking news that impacts organization’s mission

Fundraising

  • Donor Records Management: Maintain and update the database, monitor for duplicate records, and ensure accuracy in records.
  • Gift Processing & Acknowledgement: Enter donations (checks, online, pledges), reconcile donations with finance, and send timely acknowledgment letters and tax receipts.
  • Assist in planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and community outreach.
  • Act as a first point of contact for supporter inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Conduct research on prospective donors and help create reports on fundraising progress.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in program development and implementation, communications, fundraising, executive support positions or other similar organizational areas, preferably in a Jewish or Israel-related environment.
  • Be able to execute projects from concept to reality, ensuring they are impactful and align with organizational goals.
  • Technologically savvy in office systems, CRM/databases, basic graphics, website maintenance, and Zoom interface.
  • Ability to monitor and manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and a detail-oriented approach with meticulous record keeping abilities.
  • Familiarity with current events in Israel and the Middle East, and with the landscape of Jewish, Zionist, and Israel-related community organizations.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to interface with colleagues, donors, community partners and clergy with warmth, a professional demeanor, and to communicate with clarity.
  • A track record as a self-starter who pursues excellence, with the maturity and self-discipline to work   independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Enjoy working within a small entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven and results oriented

Benefits: Paid vacation and sick leave, medical, dental, vision and retirement plans, early closing for Shabbat and Jewish holidays

Salary range: $60,000-75,000, commensurate with experience.

Other:

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the Conference of Presidents and is based in-person in the COP office in midtown Manhattan.
