We’re seeking a proactive, thoughtful, and highly organized Production & Outreach Coordinator to support a mission-driven documentary film project, The Kid in Blue - www.kidinbluefilm.com.

The film explores the diversity of Jewish life in America, and we’re looking for someone who is interested in the subject matter and excited to support the project’s outreach, fundraising, and production efforts.

This is a contractor (1099) position for the duration of the film project, with potential for expanded involvement as the project grows.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Researching and initiating outreach to potential community partners, film subjects, donors, and in-kind supporters
  • Leading and generating fundraising initiatives, including crowdfunding campaigns, donor outreach, and partnership ideas
  • Driving subject recruitment and community engagement
  • Coordinating with interview subjects (scheduling, shoot logistics, DocuSign releases, etc.)
  • Supporting production planning, including location sourcing and in-kind donations
  • Managing general email correspondence and communications
  • Providing logistical support for film shoots (documentation, scheduling, travel, food service, etc.)
  • Owning newsletters (Brevo), social media assets, and campaign strategy
  • Managing and updating the Squarespace website
  • Designing visual assets using Canva
  • Supporting general administrative, calendaring, event, and production needs

Qualifications & Ideal Candidate:

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thoughtful, emotionally intelligent, and sensitive in engaging with film subjects, donors, and community members
  • Genuine interest in Jewish storytelling and the film’s subject matter
  • Comfortable contributing to and engaging in fundraising efforts
  • Organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces across outreach, marketing, and production
  • Ideally brings an existing network or familiarity with Jewish and/or film communities, or is excited to build within them
  • Creative thinker who can help generate ideas for partnerships, fundraising, and outreach strategies

Additional Details:
This is a flexible, part-time contractor role at $22–23/hour. While hours are flexible, timely communication is essential (responses within 24–48 hours on weekdays).

To apply - please share your resume and a cover letter letting sharing a bit more about you and your relevant experience. Thank you!
