We are looking for Hebrew Teachers for IN PERSON Instruction Only

Vibrant and warm Reform congregation in Bergen County is seeking part-time Jewish educators to join our dynamic teaching team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, creative, love children and want to be a positive influence on the next generation of Jewish learners. Our staff works collaboratively together throughout the year and will provide educators with a supportive environment to develop their teaching skills. Our school is a close-knit community that strives to create a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth. We are an inclusive community, and we welcome families from a variety of Jewish and interfaith backgrounds. 

We are looking to fill multiple day/time slots with competitive hourly rates BOE.

TEACHERS: We are looking for applicants who:

-have the ability to read/teach vocalized Hebrew smoothly and basic knowledge/understanding of core Shabbat blessings and prayers.

-want to engage and inspire students 
-integrate experiential learning 
-are team players 
-are innovative and enthusiastic 
-are willing to have fun while educating students

-have some background in Judaic studies/knowledge of Jewish holidays/customs/rituals

-have some elementary and/or middle school teaching/camp/youth group experience

Teachers are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of school, submit weekly lesson plans and attend monthly staff meetings throughout the year.

Teachers are supervised by the Religious School Director
