Religious School Teacher

About Us

Congregation B'nei Yisrael of Armonk is looking for great teachers to share their love of Judaism with kids in our JID program. JID stands for Jewish Identity Development. We're not your typical Hebrew School. Our mission is to help kids feel good about being Jewish, not just throw facts and Hebrew at them. We want families to grow closer to Judaism, the Jewish people, and their heritage through hands-on and project-based learning.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking teachers who are:

• Patient
• Creative
• Classroom managers
• Relatable to kids

Job Details

We need teachers for:

• Days: Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoons
• Time: Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:30 PM - Wednesdays 3:00 - 4:30
• Grades: 
  • Tuesday - 5th or 6th grade 
  • Wednesdays - 7th Grade
• Salary: Approx. $100 per hour
• Hebrew Requirement: Minimal, our program is plug and play!
