Cantorial Soloist Position

Part Time Cantorial Soloist Position 

We are seeking a talented and dedicated part time Cantorial Soloist to work alongside our Senior Rabbi in providing inspiring and meaningful musical leadership. 

The Position Overview 

The Cantorial Soloist will play a central role in enhancing the spiritual life of our community through music, leading worship services and supporting lifecycle and educational experiences.  

Primary Responsibilities 

• Lead musical portions of designated Shabbat Services approximately 22 Saturdays and select Friday evenings
• Sing a blend of traditional and contemporary Jewish liturgical music
• Collaborate with Senior Rabbi to enrich the worship experience 
• Tutor B'nei Mitzvah students - approximately 5 students per week 

Qualifications 

• Strong trained vocal ability 
• Experience performing in front of congregations 
• Familiarity with Jewish liturgical music traditional and contemporary 
• Experience working with B'nei Mitzvah students perferred

Position Details 

• October (flexible start date) to June 30th
• Compensation $25,000 - $30,000 ( Commensurate with experience)
