Digital Ads Specialist (Independent Contractor, remote)

Exler Marketing (EM) is a marketing agency that works primarily with Jewish nonprofits and communal organizations. We're seeking a freelance Digital Ads Specialist (Google Ads & Meta primarily) to join our contractor network and support client campaigns across this space, along with a broader portfolio of nonprofit clients.

This is a fully remote, U.S.-based independent contractor role offering flexible hours and the opportunity to lead digital advertising campaigns for mission-driven organizations. The ideal candidate is a skilled digital advertiser with proven experience managing Google Ads (including Google Ad Grants) and Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), and ideally familiarity with Jewish community organizations or audiences. Someone who thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and understands how to reach niche, values-aligned communities will hit the ground running here.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including accounts using the Google Ad Grant.

  • Plan and execute paid Meta ad campaigns (Facebook/Instagram), including creative coordination, copywriting support, audience targeting, and performance optimization.

  • Conduct keyword research, audience building, and competitive analysis to improve campaign effectiveness.

  • Set up and monitor conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

  • Collaborate with EM’s content and design team to ensure ad campaigns align with client brand and messaging.

  • Create monthly performance reports with key insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Stay up to date on platform changes, trends, and best practices in Google Ads and social advertising.

  • Ensure Google Ad Grant compliance and support monthly account maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S.-based independent contractor (no international applicants or agencies).

  • 2+ years of experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including at least 1 year of experience with Google Ad Grants.

  • 2+ years of experience running Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram).

  • Demonstrated success driving campaign results such as increased traffic, conversions, or engagement.

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain performance data clearly and concisely.

  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously within a collaborative remote team.

Bonus Experience (Not Required):

  • Experience with other forms of digital advertising such as LinkedIn, TikTok, or other paid platforms.

  • Experience in nonprofit marketing and understanding of mission-driven goals.

  • Familiarity with Jewish communal organizations or audiences.

  • Experience working alongside designers or copywriters to develop creative assets.
