Part-time T'filah Coordinator

Interested in teaching Prayer literacy and helping students create meaningful connections to prayer?

Temple Israel in New Rochelle is hiring a part-time T’filah Coordinator for Thursday afternoons. We are a dynamic program that looks to engage children through interactive programming, and we feel that Jewish music is a critical part of our mission.

We are looking for applicants who have:

• Experience working with elementary school-aged children
• Love of Jewish music
• Can bring a fun and engaging energy
• Can teach singing, melodies, and prayer in a creative and fun way to lift our students 
• Ability to engage groups of children in a playful demeanor
• Can ideally play the guitar but not critical for the role

 This position has a salary of $5000 and is in-person.

Temple Israel’s programming year runs September 3rd through May 11th. The T’filah Coordinator would be part of the Religious School teaching team and work in partnership with our Director of Education.

Additional teaching opportunities are available for religious school classroom teachers on Tuesday afternoons and/or leading T'filah on Tuesday afternoons.
