Operations and HR Manager


Location: Northbrook, IL-based office with a hybrid working structure.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000

Experience: 4 - 10 years. Advanced degree preferred



The iCenter advances excellence in Israel education by serving as the North American hub for shaping and strengthening the field. In collaboration with schools, camps, universities, travel experience providers, and more, The iCenter supports educators with training, tools, and resources to bring Israel into learners’ lives. The Operations and HR Manager will work to create and implement strategies that drive operational excellence and foster a positive, creative, and productive organizational culture. They will support all people operations functions and oversee the organization’s technological systems to optimize organizational capacity. The Operations and HR Manager is a cross-functional role, working collaboratively with various teams, leveraging diverse expertise, and driving a human-centered approach to our work. The Director of Operations will supervise the Operations and HR Manager


  • Support all people operations functions, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Support operational excellence by creating new and refreshing existing organizational policies and processes.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of independent contractor contracts, ensuring alignment and collaboration. 
  • Manage annual open enrollment process for health and other benefits for all staff and support staff in implementing changes throughout the year
  • Drive organizational culture-building and employee experience-related initiatives.
  • Oversee and partner with operational consultants to support organizational compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Lead the development and improvement of digital platforms including office technology/network infrastructure, optimizing the hardware/software stack, and serving as a point person for IT consultants and staff.
  • Support the development of grants and proposals pertaining to operational initiatives. 
  • Support iCenter initiatives in an experiential capacity, including but not limited to iFellows, GW, certificate programs, and limited experiences throughout North America.

  • Self-starter and able to prioritize several projects and assignments simultaneously
  • Skilled in adapting quickly to changing circumstances and making sound decisions under pressure




  • Experience in human resources and developing strategies for developing and improving organizational policies and culture 
  • Experience optimizing IT and network infrastructure to achieve creative solutions and organizational needs.
  • Strong project manager with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Israel and proficiency in Hebrew are a plus.
