Social Media & Design Associate
Reports To: Chief Communications Officer
Position Overview
Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media & Design Associate to support the organization’s digital presence and visual storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, graphic design, and brand development, and who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
This position is ideal for someone who understands how to translate organizational goals into compelling digital storytelling -- balancing creativity with performance, and brand consistency with platform-specific trends.
Core Objectives of the Role
· Drive stakeholder awareness through digital storytelling by showcasing the AEPi experience in an authentic, aspirational way
· Strengthen brand consistency across International HQ and chapter-level communications
· Increase engagement with undergraduates and alumni through relevant, platform-native content
· Elevate AEPi’s identity and values (leadership, Jewish identity, brotherhood, philanthropy) through visual and narrative content
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
· Assist in managing and growing AEPi’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
· Schedule and publish content according to a content calendar
· Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster community interaction
· Track performance metrics and provide regular analytics reports with insights and recommendations
Content Creation & Design
· Design graphics for social media, email campaigns, web, and print using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
· Create visually compelling content aligned with AEPi’s brand identity
· Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative assets for campaigns, events, and initiatives
· Assist with photo/video editing and short-form video content (e.g., Reels, TikToks)
Brand & Campaign Support
· Maintain brand consistency across all communications
· Support marketing campaigns, recruitment efforts, and organizational initiatives
· Identify opportunities to tell meaningful stories about undergraduate and alumni brothers, and the impact that AEPi makes on campus and in Jewish communities
· Help develop and execute creative concepts for campaigns and storytelling
General Marketing Support
· Assist with website updates and digital content as needed
· Stay up-to-date on social media trends, tools, and best practices
· Provide creative input during brainstorming and planning sessions
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
· Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva
· Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends. Familiarity with how social media can support AEPi’s brand initiatives, including assisting in development opportunities, enhancing recruitment, and encouraging stakeholder engagement.
· Excellent written and visual communication skills
Preferred:
· 1–2 years of experience in social media management, graphic design, or digital marketing (internships acceptable)
· Experience with video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects)
· Familiarity with social media analytics tools
· Familiarity with Click Up project management software
· Basic knowledge of web content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
· Experience working with mission-driven or nonprofit organizations, Greek life, and Alpha Epsilon Pi
