About Camp Kingswood
Camp Kingswood is a traditional, co-ed, Jewish overnight camp in Maine, serving 430 children each summer. Since 1913, Camp Kingswood has been helping kids grow into the best versions of themselves in our intimate, rustic, and unplugged environment on the shores of Woods Pond, in Bridgton, Maine. Our mission at Kingswood is to create a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment based in our core values of community, courage, responsibility, and respect, allowing campers to grow and explore in their own way, at their own pace.
Our Workplace Culture and Community
Camp Kingswood is led by a small team of dedicated professionals who work remotely from September - May, and work in-person, on-site at camp in Bridgton, Maine from mid-May through early September. We live our Kingswood core values year-round, and despite being seasonally remote, we support a workplace culture that is fun, supportive, collaborative, equitable, inclusive, and grounded in respect. Our year-round calendar and work flow is designed to promote community and collaboration among our year-round team, with connections maintained throughout the year with our seasonal staff. During the off-season we gather in-person when we have conferences, camp events, or trainings to attend. The in-person and remote schedule is subject to change based on the needs of camp.
Working Hours as a Seasonally Remote Work Space
We consider “in-season” from May 15 - September 1, and “off-season” to be from September 2 - May 14. During “in=season,” the camp day for the year-round team runs from 7:30 am - 10:30 pm, and sometimes longer. Because of this schedule, during the off-season, the standard work schedule is 9 - 5 pm ET, but working hours can be flexed as long as deadlines are met, and when nights and weekends are required, additional time-off is provided.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Camp Kingswood is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and we are committed to being equitable and inclusive for all year-round employees and seasonal staff. We are also committed to the on-going learning required to be active players in shaping how these values are reflected in our community. We are a Jewish camp, welcoming campers and staff of all faiths and backgrounds. All employment is decided based on qualifications, merit, and organizational need.
