Position Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor for FamilyMatters provides clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight for family- and child-serving programs supporting families in crisis and families raising children with disabilities. This role ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, and person-centered clinical services while supporting and developing a multidisciplinary clinical team. The Clinical Supervisor works primarily from the King of Prussia office and collaborates closely with Florida-based clinical leadership to ensure consistency, compliance, and integration across sites.

Role and Responsiblities:

       Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide individual, group, and peer clinical supervision to Family Support Specialists, therapists, interns, and other clinical staff.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clinical case consultation, problem-solving, and guidance.
  • Act as licensed backup support to the Clinical Director as needed.
  • Promote team morale, cohesion, accountability, and professional growth.

       Program Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure clinical services align with agency mission, standards, and evidence-based best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance with funder, regulatory, and agency requirements.
  • Participate in and co-facilitate peer review, outcome monitoring, and utilization reporting processes.
  • Oversee intake assessments, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning as appropriate.

      Staff Development & Performance Management

  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide regular, constructive feedback, including participation in annual and interim performance reviews.
  • Provide coverage for cases during staffing vacancies or transitions as needed.

Clinical Services

  • Conduct assessments and develop service goals and treatment plans for children and families.
  • Provide or support supervised and therapeutic visits, including documentation and court reporting when required.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation within the agency’s EHR system.
  • Attend case conferences, court hearings, and multidisciplinary meetings related to client care.

      On-Call & Crisis Response

  • Assist with scheduling and participation in the on-call rotation to ensure continuous clinical coverage.
  • Provide guidance and support to clinicians responding to crisis situations.
  • Serve as backup to agency on-call systems when needed.

       Collaboration & Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with leadership across sites to ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
  • Support outreach and collaboration with community providers, schools, courts, and referral sources.
  • Remain informed about community resources and contribute to strengthening systemic support for families.

      Compliance & Ethical Practice

  • Ensure adherence to Pennsylvania and Florida child abuse reporting laws, agency policies, and standards of care.
  • Uphold ethical, professional, and culturally responsive practice across all services.
  • Complete required agency trainings and certifications.

      Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director or agency leadership in support of program goals.

Physical Requirements:

Staff must be physically capable of driving an automobile in a safe manner.  Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time as needed.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; able to lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. 

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Fully licensed in the appropriate discipline (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Psychologist, or equivalent), in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with children and families, including crisis intervention, family preservation, developmental disabilities, and/or mental health services.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and exercise sound clinical judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and complex systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Required participation in the agency on-call rotation to ensure continuous clinical coverage.
  • Completion of annual 40-hour in-service agency training. CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety certification.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; recommended liablity coverage when transporting clients.
  • Strongly recommend maintaining Bodily Injury Liability insuracne of $100,000.00 per claim $300,000 per incident on their personal automobile when driving clients and their children.
