Sunday School PreK Teacher

Temple Sholom, a warm and welcoming Reform congregation, in Union County, NJ, is seeking a PreK Sunday Schhool teacher in our Religious School for the 2026–2027 school year:

Location: Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 

Sunday School Teacher – Preschool (Ages 3–5) 

Location: Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 

Schedule: Sundays, 9:00-11:30 AM, September through May 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead a small class of preschool-age students (3–5 years old) using provided materials
• Create a nurturing, age-appropriate learning environment introducing Jewish values, holidays, and traditions
• Supported by a classroom aide/madrichim 
• Communicate regularly with parents and the Rabbi

Qualifications: 

• Experience with early childhood education preferred
• Warmth, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children required
• Judaic knowledge helpful
