The Lead Teacher will create a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment grounded in Jewish values, traditions, and community. This role requires a strong educator who is collaborative, organized, and passionate about supporting young children’s growth—socially, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that integrate Jewish values, holidays, traditions, and Hebrew language (as appropriate)
  • Create a classroom environment that reflects warmth, respect, and a love of learning
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

  • Partner with families to support each child’s individual needs
  • Collaborate closely with the early childhood team, including co-teachers and administration
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide programming
  • Maintain classroom organization, documentation, and compliance with licensing and health regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Judaic Studies, or a related field (required)
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
  • Commitment to Jewish education and fostering a meaningful Jewish classroom experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a classroom while working collaboratively as part of a team

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a team player who demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a deep care and passion for children. They bring enthusiasm to teaching, embrace collaboration, and are committed to building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

We look forward to welcoming a compassionate and knowledgeable educator who will help cultivate a joyful and meaningful early childhood Jewish learning environment.
