About Creating Connected Communities (CCC)
Creating Connected Communities (CCC) enhances the lives of children and families experiencing economic hardship across Atlanta while empowering Jewish teens to become community leaders and volunteers. Through 40+ annual community outreach programs, CCC serves over 8,000 individuals each year and creates hundreds of impactful teen volunteer opportunities.
Our Leadership Development Program (LDP)—a 1–4 year experiential learning program—currently engages 328 Jewish teens in grades 8–12 in leadership, Jewish identity development, and hands-on service as we work to build our next generation of leaders and community contributors.

- CCC’s office is in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody where the team meets every Tuesday. Remaining work hours occur flexibly and remotely around CCC’s program calendar and other required in-person meetings and activities as scheduled.
Position Summary
CCC is looking for an innovative, energetic, and enthusiastic education and community engagement professional to help us build on the success of our programs and meet the growing need for our work! The cornerstone of CCC’s work is its Leadership Development Program (LDP), an up-to 4 year-long experiential-learning program that empowers Jewish teens between 8th-12th grade to develop their Jewish identity, values, and leadership skills in a variety of ways as they implement programs for our community partners. Our program features hands-on activities and projects, speakers, and small group discussions that challenge our teens to explore tough topics and make a significant impact in their community.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven professional who can easily engage and connect with teens, has the ability to “command the room,” can develop strong community partnerships, is eager to manage and empower young adults to serve as mentors, can relate to young Jewish professionals, and has the skills to implement complex program logistics.
This exciting position offers an opportunity to make a tremendous impact on hundreds of Jewish teen volunteers as well as thousands of children and families experiencing hardship across Atlanta. As Creating Connected Communities’ LDP Director, you will collaborate with our team to enhance and implement our one-of-a-kind Leadership Development Program, work with incredibly passionate Jewish teens and thousands of children through our community-building outreach programs, and represent CCC in the community as a central member of CCC’s leadership team.
Schedule Requirements
This position requires work on evenings and weekends including:
- LDP sessions
- Sessions held in-person in Sandy Springs and Midtown
- Most sessions are 4 hours per session, 4 per month on weekday evenings
- 2 sessions per year on Sunday afternoon
- No sessions in June or July
- Mentor and board trainings and meetings
- Most meetings are virtual
- Average 2 per month
- Community events and CCC’s outreach programs
- Events may be daytime or evening
- 1-2 per month
In light of these requirements, our team frequently and easily adjusts weekday work hours to accommodate this schedule around standing meetings and pre-scheduled responsibilities.
Education & Program Management
- Lead the implementation of CCC’s unique Leadership Development Program (LDP) across Atlanta-area locations, serving as the lead educator.
- Support the strategic planning and implementation of CCC’s organizational goals related to LDP.
- Supervise and support the LDP Coordinator, overseeing administrative tasks and ensuring strong program execution.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of young adult mentors, cultivating a vibrant, experiential, and informal education team.
- Develop and manage the LDP budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Oversee the curriculum design and delivery of LDP, integrating best practices in experiential education and service learning, Jewish content, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with CCC’s Program Team to ensure cohesive mission alignment and educational consistency across LDP and outreach programs.
- Analyze and report on LDP evaluation data (e.g., surveys) to refine program delivery and improve participant outcomes.
- Lead efforts in teen recruitment and marketing, including info sessions and communications with partner organizations.
- Supervise and train teen board members and committees, fostering their growth as peer leaders and ambassadors for CCC.
- Oversee LDP program administration, including managing RSVPs, service hours, applications, and communication with teens and parents.
- Serve as the staff lead for the LDP Parent Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Lead the execution of LDP’s annual Teen Fundraiser, including strategy, training, logistics, donor solicitations, and data management.
- Strengthen and implement an alumni engagement strategy to create long-term relationships with LDP graduates and opportunities for data collection.
- Collaborate with the team to grow CCC’s social media presence with a focus on program impact, alumni engagement, and community outreach.
- Represent CCC at community events, speaking engagements, and presentations to increase visibility and support.
- Participate in professional development, community networks, and partnerships to strengthen CCC’s educational and programmatic impact.
- Provide additional operational support as needed across the CCC team.

- Ability to work within CCC’s Schedule Requirements (see details above).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in community engagement or an education setting with teens, youth programs, or camps.
- Experience managing other team members preferred.
