Masa Israel Overview

Masa Israel Journey’s mission is to provide every Jewish young adult age 18-35 with the opportunity to participate in one of more than 200 programs in Israel, each lasting between 6 weeks to 10 months. These programs span a wide range of experiences, including gap-year programs, study abroad, career development, and community service initiatives. Through these immersive experiences, we at Masa strive to forge a lasting connection between young Jews and Israel, fostering commitment to Jewish life.

 

Job Summary Overview:

This is a hybrid position based in New York City, requiring regular in-office presence.

The Alumni Engagement and National Projects Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving the success of various strategic initiatives across North America. The incumbent will lead the engagement of Masa alumni, oversee national projects, and foster partnerships to enhance the organization's impact. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, strong educator background, and a passion for fostering relationships.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alumni Engagement and Professional Networking:
    • Develop innovative strategies to engage Masa alumni in their roles as Jewish professionals across diverse industries.
    • Collaborate with alumni associations, professional networks, and industry partners to establish opportunities for networking, professional development, and mentorship.
    • Utilize the expertise of Masa alumni to guide current participants and provide insights on career pathways.
  • National Projects Oversight:
    • Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of key national projects, including Masa Campus Internship Program and Alumni Ambassadors.
    • Monitor program budgets, allocations, and expenditures to ensure efficient resource utilization.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to gather and analyze program data, providing regular reports to the Executive Director of North America.
  • Partnerships & Development:
    • Cultivate and maintain partnerships within the Jewish communal world to foster growth in program participation.
    • Establish collaborations with national organizations, campus career centers, and study abroad offices to expand Masa Israel's recruitment capacity.
    • Work closely with partners to translate national strategies into localized tactics.
    • Work closely with Chief Development Officer to support efforts in engaging alumni in development efforts
  • National Events Management:
    • Collaborate with the North American team to design an annual calendar of events, including national events, Masa-specific gatherings, and alumni-focused activities.
    • Lead event operations and execution to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage event outcomes for lead generation and partnership engagement.
  • Alumni Digital Marketing Efforts:
    • Manage the creation and distribution of monthly Masa Alumni eNewsletter.
    • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to design appealing and relevant digital materials.
    • Partner with the marketing team to spotlight success stories of Masa alumni through various marketing channels.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus. Background in business, marketing, education or communications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the Jewish community, particularly in national-scale initiatives.
  • Prior experience related to Israel is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and entrepreneurial, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Hebrew is a plus.

 

 

 

 

Salary65,000.00 - 75,000.00 Annual
