Preschool Assistant Teacher

Temple Beth David Preschool in Palm Beach Gardens is looking to hire a motivated and enthusiaistic Preschool Assistant Teacher. Our school is growing and we are seeking someone who is committed to joining a team that nurtures the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of each child. We provide an atmosphere where children can safely explore all areas of their development . As part of our Judaic learning , we teach the Jewish values of act with loving kindness, show respect, build community, be sorry and forgive, be content, and have courage and persevere, as well as learning about the Jewish holidays.

Requirements:

     At least one year of experience of working with children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

     45 hour DCF training completed or the willingness to complete if hired.

     Knowledge of child development.

     CPR and First Aid certification or the willingness to complete if hired.

     Committed to completing 10 hours of professional development related to Early Childhood Education each year.

     Background screening required.

     High school diploma/GED

Responsibilities:

     Assist teachers in creating age-appropriate lessons.

     Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.

     Perform daily cleaning routines .

     Help with snack, art activities and nurturing of the children.

     Have an enthusiastic and engaging outlook .
