Youth Coordinator

The Youth Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging Jewish educational experiences for children and teens at ATJC. This role supports the Religious School, interacts with B’nai Mitzvah students, and develops dynamic teen programming that fosters Jewish identity, leadership, and community connection.

The Youth Coordinator serves as a key connector between students, families, clergy, and staff, helping ensure a meaningful and seamless educational experience across all youth touchpoints.

Job Duties:

• Coordinate Religious School operations, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with families and staff.
• Support B’nai Mitzvah families alongside clergy, coordinate key milestones, and help lead Mitzvah Days and special programs.
• Plan and lead engaging teen programs, events, and experiences that build community and connection.
• Organize and execute holiday programs, Shabbat experiences, and special events, managing logistics, registration, and follow-up.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children and teens in Jewish education
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and culture
• Comfortable leading programs and facilitating activities
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with youth
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and dependable, with availability for evenings, weekends, and select holidays
• Proactive, positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
• College Degree in related areas (a plus)
• Basic Hebrew (a plus)

Reports to: Director of Education.
