Summary Description:

Temple Israel’s Administrative Assistant must be highly organized and tech-savvy to support a fast-paced, customer service focused office. Core responsibilities include administrative and technical support, phone and security system management, cemetery records and plot coordination, and direct assistance to clergy and senior staff. The role also supports lifecycle events, maintains key databases, and provides warm, solutions-oriented service to members.

This position is central to major synagogue operations, including High Holiday preparation, memorial board management, B’nai Mitzvah assistance, and coordination of meetings, projects, and special initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple priorities while contributing to a welcoming and well-run office environment.

Competencies:
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Constant Contact or similar email marketing platform
Bachelor's Degree preferred
