Our client, a prestigious Jewish School in South Florida, is seeking a dedicated and visionary General Studies Principal for the 2026-27 school year for both Middle and High School.

About the Role:

We are looking for a leader who embodies a shared vision and commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate the school's goals, aligning them with our mission, and engaging the community in meaningful ways. Success in this role requires self-reflection, authenticity, and a willingness to embrace vulnerability.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Articulate a clear vision for curriculum and instruction that aligns with the school's priorities and sets high expectations for all students.
  • Ensure the curriculum is engaging, evidence-based, inclusive, and fosters critical thinking.
  • Manage conflicts with integrity, prioritizing the well-being of students and the school community.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coordination within the school to promote effective educational programs and improve teaching and learning.

Management and Operations:

  • Manage school academics, activities and staff, including teachers and support personnel.
  • Establish and oversee class schedules.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain curriculum standards.
  • Observe teachers and evaluate their performance.
  • Build a positive, inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and supported.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and professional development.

Assessment and Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and growth through data-focused reflection.
  • Implement a balanced assessment system, facilitating regular feedback sessions with staff, students, and families.
  • Use data to evaluate and communicate student progress, ensuring academic and non-academic growth.

Family and Community Engagement:

  • Set clear expectations for staff in partnering with families through respectful, two-way communication.
  • Leverage community resources to enhance student learning and well-being.
  • Address family concerns promptly and transparently.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a General Studies Principal or Assistant Principal in a Middle or High School.
  • Proven experience in hiring and coaching faculty and staff.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education or a related field.
  • Experience in overseeing College Guidance.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Strategic thinker and empathetic problem solver.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technology skills.
