About the Role

We are looking for a savvy, detail-oriented IT Systems & Web Infrastructure Specialist (Hourly) to help us streamline our digital ecosystem. Over time, our web hosting, domains, and email systems have grown into a complex "web" across multiple platforms like HostGator, GoDaddy, and Google. We need a technical troubleshooter who can audit our current setup, consolidate our assets, and ensure our foundational systems are professional, secure, and ready for our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Audit & Consolidation: Clean up and organize a legacy mix of accounts across GoDaddy, HostGator, and Google. Consolidate web hosting and domain management to reduce redundancy and improve security.
  • Google Workspace Optimization: Review our current Google Workspace configuration to ensure it follows best practices for a mid-sized non-profit, including user permissions, security protocols, and shared drive organization.
  • Email Deliverability & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve ongoing email issues. You must understand DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to ensure our communications reach donors and partners without hitting spam filters.
  • Automation & Integration: Maintain and build Zapier workflows to connect our various tools. Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting automated triggers when they fail.
  • Salesforce Transition Support: Assist the team in preparing our systems for a Salesforce migration, ensuring that our existing tech stack (email, forms, and databases) integrates seamlessly with the new CRM.
  • General Technical Support: Provide on-call assistance for miscellaneous IT "hiccups" as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Platform Expertise: Deep familiarity with GoDaddy (DNS/Domains), HostGator (CPanel/Hosting), and Google Workspace Administration.
  • Deliverability Knowledge: Proven experience fixing email delivery issues and managing DNS settings.
  • Automation Mindset: Proficient in using Zapier to bridge gaps between platforms.
  • Future-Ready Tech Skills: Understanding of API integrations and how CRMs (specifically Salesforce) interact with web and email tools.
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical "messes" and solutions to non-technical staff in a clear, concise manner.
  • Non-Profit Experience: (Preferred) Understanding the unique budget and security needs of a mid-sized 501(c)(3).

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a brief summary of a time you successfully "untangled" a messy technical infrastructure.
