Religious School Teacher - First through Second-Grades teacher
Employment:
Part-time - Sundays from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm, with an additional half-hour for communications per week
Salary Range:
$22.00 to $25.00/hourly
Experience Level:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Teaching certificate strongly preferred.
Candidates must have Hebrew reading, writing, and comprehension skills and be comfortable with teaching and practicing egalitarian prayer.

Job Description:
We need a religious school teacher to teach the Hebrew and Judaic curriculum in the elementary grades for the 2026-27 school year (August to May). The liturgical Hebrew curriculum used is from Behrman House.
We seek educators who are creative, child-centered, inquiry-based, experiential, and who can incorporate project-based learning into their teaching. Our curriculum is designed to connect students to Eretz Israel, build a Jewish identity, and also includes instruction on mussar/values, Parasha HaShavoua, and Holidays. Additionally, they will help students build Hebrew reading and writing skills. The ideal candidate is a team player who collaborates with other teachers, madrikhim, and madrikhim-in-training, and has a love of Jewish learning.
