Executive Director

The Opportunity

The Executive Director will serve as a strategic and operational leader, partnering with Rabbinic leadership, lay leadership, and volunteers to enhance every aspect of the Shul. This individual will help:

• Elevate the member experience
• Strengthen community engagement
• Modernize operations and communications
• Support membership growth
• Enhance fundraising and financial sustainability

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Community & Member Engagement

• Cultivate strong relationships with members
• Support membership growth and engagement
• Oversee maintenance of the Shul’s membership database and directory

Operational Leadership

• Ensure the synagogue runs smoothly and professionally
• Manage office staff and partner with Shul committees to advance key initiatives and projects
• Implement systems and processes that enable continued growth

Communications & Growth

• Elevate communications and marketing
• Support marketing and outreach efforts
• Oversee all communications between the Shul and its members

Facilities & Events

• Supervise cleaning services to ensure the facility is warm and welcoming to members and guests
• Manage all operational aspects of programs, events, and rentals
• Guide the staff in managing vendor and utility communications

Financial & Organizational Support

• Support and enhance fundraising initiatives
• Manage expenses responsibly
• Partner with lay leadership on strategic priorities
