Sunday Religious School Teachers (PreK-2nd) grade needed for Temple Sholom - Greenwich, CT

September - May, $250 per Sunday ($100/hr, 2.5 hours)

Temple Sholom is seeking warm, engaging religious school teachers for our Lower School (PreK-2nd Grade) program.  We are looking for educators who can inspire young learners to develop a strong Jewish identity, a love of Israel, familiarity with Jewish holidays and rituals, and a joyful connection to Jewish life through music, learning and community.  Lesson plans will be provided, but can be adapted to each teacher's own style.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating a welcoming, engaging classroom environment
• Teaching age-appropriate Jewish values, traditions, holidays, and rituals
• Fostering Jewish pride and connection to Israel
• Bringing ruach (Jewish spirit) to learning through music and interactive experiences
• Collaborating with clergy, staff, and fellow teachers

Compensation & Benefits:

Experience working with children and a passion for Jewish education preferred.
