AFHU boasts an endowment of $750 million and raises approximately $60 million each year, with plans to substantially increase its fundraising efforts. Our contribution represents more than one-half of Hebrew University’s annual fundraising goal.

About the Opportunity

The Executive Office, Administrative Coordinator will report to the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer and support the National Office. This position will have the opportunity to collaborate with all functions of our organization as well as with the Hebrew University. In this exciting role, the Executive Office, Administrative Coordinator will be instrumental in the further development of the position and its responsibilities.

The Executive Office, Administrative Coordinator role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated professional who is interested in being part of a mission-driven non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter possessing excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to analyze and synthesize data in order to support our efforts in becoming a more data-driven organization.



Position Responsibilities:

General Administration:

  • Support all CEO’s Executive Office communications including donor and board communications, acknowledgment letters, donor tributes, marketing materials, E-newsletters, and fundraising initiatives
  • Maintain office records and organizational systems
  • Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Manage the executive’s calendar
  • Submit invoices to accounting and finance team using Stampli and process expense report for the Chief Executive Officer using the Concur expense system
  • Manage projects for the Executive Office

Fundraising Support

  • Assist the CEO in coordinating the annual fundraising campaign process; collaborate with regional offices; prepare CEO for regional campaign meetings
  • Assist CEO in developing, tracking, and presenting donor recognition, donor stewardship, and cultivation materials
  • Manage database mailing lists
  • Update and maintain donor records in coordination with AFHU’s development operations team
  • Collaborate directly with AFHU development operations team to reconcile donations and produce donor statements

Special projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a non-profit or related experience is a must
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge NXT or similar CRM donor management is required
  • Knowledge of design applications for invitations such as Canva preferred
  • Strong writing and research skills
