Assistant Principal – General Studies Lower School

Yavneh Academy in Paramus, NJ is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Assistant Principal for General Studies (Lower School) to help lead and support our Lower School. This position functions as part of the school leadership team and partners closely with faculty to advance academic excellence, support curriculum development, mentor teachers, and foster a positive learning environment for students.

The ideal candidate is an experienced educational leader with strong knowledge of elementary education, a commitment to professional and personal growth, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Lower School General Studies faculty
• Provide instructional leadership and mentorship to teachers
• Assist with curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
• Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback
• Partner with administration to strengthen student learning and school culture
• Support school initiatives, programs, and parent communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field (required)
• Significant teaching experience; leadership experience preferred
• Strong background in elementary pedagogy and curriculum
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to collaboration and professional growth
