Benny's Educational Toys - Jewish School and Yeshiva Suppliers is dedicated to providing meaningful Jewish educational products to teachers, schools, synagogues, and community centers nationwide. We manage multiple online stores including tjssc.com, yeshivasupplies.com, bennysjudaica.com, jewish-crafts.com, and JewishToyStore.com, focusing on enriching Jewish education and fostering community engagement.

YeshivaSupplies.com is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Representative/Agent to expand our presence within the Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jewish education community. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing in-person relationships with educators and decision-makers at yeshivas, demonstrating our products, and closing sales. This is a field-based role primarily in densely populated Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox communities such as Brooklyn, Monsey, Lakewood, and surrounding areas. The position offers a base salary plus a commission on sales generated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently create and maintain a list of yeshivas and yeshiva-ketanas visit within assigned geographic areas.
  • Schedule meetings with decision-makers or make unannounced "knock-on-the-door" visits to introduce our products.
  • Present and demonstrate our products to potential customers, emphasizing their educational and community value.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and actively promote our products.
  • Offer special discounts or deals to facilitate sales and encourage purchases.
  • Maintain detailed records of meetings, contacts, and sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop outreach strategies and promotional plans.
  • Keep informed about community preferences, holidays, and trends to tailor sales approaches effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, especially within educational, community, or religious environments.
  • Experience in the Jewish education field is a strong benefit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with face-to-face meetings.
  • Ability to independently generate and manage a list of potential clients.
  • Knowledge of or connections within Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly within designated geographic areas.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor, and good presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and convey product value effectively.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communications.

Position Details:

  • Type: Salary + commission based on sales
  • Location: Primarily in Brooklyn NY, Monsey NY, Lakewood NJ, and surrounding ultra-Orthodox communities
  • Travel: Frequent in-person visits required
  • Hours: Flexible, field-based schedule
