Maimonides School is a Modern Orthodox day school where rigorous Torah and General Studies stand side by side.  Each enriches the other and together shapes a worldview in which all learning is sacred. 

In our Elementary School students build strong foundations in literacy and mathematics; develop stills in Chumash, Navi, Mishna and Hebrew Language, and grow in their individual middot (character traits).  They experience living Torah through tefillah, performances, chessed projects, holiday celebrations and joyful Erev Shabbat gatherings, while also fostering a strong sense of identification with Medinat Yisrael. 

Responsibilities: 

• Serve as the instructional leader for K-5 Judaic and General Studies, and set clear expectations for excellent teaching and learning. 
• Ensure coherent curriculum and assessment and champion the integration of Judaic and General Studies, along with experiential Judaic programming. 
• Coordinate student support, as well as referrals and assessment opportunities.  
• Communicate regularly with families, modeling warmth, clarity and professionalism. 
• Manage division operations - scheduling, staffing, budgets and compliance. 
• Recruit, hire, onboard and develop excellent faculty. 

Qualifications and Candidate Profile: 

• Proven instructional leader and culture builder 
• Demonstrated success using data-informed instruction, progress monitoring, and responsive interventions 
• Thoughful integrator of Judaic and General Studies with leads with authenticity, joy and rigor 
• Master's degree preferred 
• 5+ years in education with increasing leadership responsbility; divisional leadership strongly preferred 
• Background in Jewish day schools or closely aligned settings welcomed.  Hebrew literacy a plus.
