The Jewish Woman Entrepreneur & Executive (The JWE) provides women with the resources and connections they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. Through education, community, and mentorship, The JWE cultivates financial independence, improving the lives of the women we support and the Jewish community at large.

Position Summary

The JWE seeks a visionary, dynamic, and business savvy Executive Director to lead the organization in advancing Jewish women’s entrepreneurship and professional growth. This position is responsible for overall organizational leadership, including strategic planning, operational oversight, and financial sustainability. The Executive Director will focus on building and nurturing donor relationships, developing corporate partnerships, and securing funding to drive the organization's mission. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Vision

  • Provide strategic leadership to advance The JWE’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic plans that ensure sustainable growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and excellence. 

Fundraising and Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and grants.
  • Cultivate relationships with major donors, sponsors, and philanthropic leaders to secure both operational and programmatic funding.
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities, overseeing the development of proposals and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Drive corporate partnership efforts to create mutually beneficial sponsorships, alliances, and collaborations.

Program Oversight and Alignment

  • Ensure all programs and initiatives align with organizational goals and meet the needs of JWE members.
  • Support and empower the Program Director and other staff in the execution of programs and curriculum development.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance programming to increase impact and visibility.

Advocacy and PublicRepresentation

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for The JWE, representing the organization at public events, conferences, and media engagements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key community leaders, Jewish organizations, and influencers.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Oversee the organization’s financial health, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
  • Supervise staff, consultants, and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of senior business or nonprofit leadership experience, with a focus on business development, fundraising, corporate partnerships, and organizational development.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating major donors, securing corporate sponsorships, and leading capital campaigns.
  • Experience with entrepreneurship and business leadership outside the non-profit sphere is important for success in this role.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and organizational operations.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Demonstrated cultural fluency within the Jewish community, including an understanding of the varied needs, values, and ambitions of Jewish women across denominations and lived experiences, and the ability to translate that understanding into impactful programming and leadership.

Salary125,000.00 - 180,000.00 Annual
