Qualifications include:
- Prior experience working with school aged children.
- Ability to engage with campers and staff of all ages.
- Comfort level working with children with a wide range of abilities.
- Able to read and follow directions on medication labels, health forms, physician orders, and parent letters.
- Able to communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically with parents, staff, and administration about camper health concerns.
- The ability to change soiled clothes as needed.
- Must be able to go outside, travel long distances and lift 50 pounds.
- CPR and First Aid certified with experience in first aid and emergency management.
- Community health knowledge.
- Trained in using an AED.
- Must be able to get to and from work each day.
- Knowledge of, and respect for, the mission of the Bender JCC of Greater Washington.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Bender JCC of Greater Washington, including its Personnel Handbook, and to abide by them.
- Work in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with others, verbally and in writing.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available the entire camp season starting on June 15 going through mid-August
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $6,000-6500 (total pay for the regular camp season). Salary is determined based on experience including previous experience at Lessans Camp JCC.
